Post 9 >> English Language Challenges

Hello everyone, today I will talk about the English course begginer that is about to end. I must admit first that learning the English language is not entirely interesting for me, I do not like how monotonous it is to teach foreign languages, but when I was little I was doing very well and I had fun solving endless guides to conjugate verbs, but In the way of traditional education I found many demotivating teachers to teach English, with boring activities that only reinforce the memory. This semester was the first time in my life that I experimented with the use of blogs to learn English, at first I thought it was a nice strategy, but it happened the same as every year, they abuse the novel method to educate and it becomes boring, it is for this thing that I finish the blogs out of time, I am behind because it does not motivate me to write a page with a theme that does not help to express itself. I feel that I have to improve many aspects of my English, especially to expand the vocabul...

POST 6 >> A Photograph you Like

Imagen
hi everyone, today I'm going to talk about my favorite photograph. I took this photo in the university, at Campus Juan Gomes Millas, in the middle of year, beceause the piegeons look very funny in the puddle of water and that day it was raining, therefore, winter, in this photo I wanted to immortalize how entertaining it can be a cold day in the streets of Santiago, considering how happy the birds are taking a shower in the rain water. This photo makes many people happy because they see a friendly side of the pigeons, since many times they are considered as disgusting birds, like mice with wings that transmit diseases. However, I think, appreciating this photo, that birds have a hidden side that we often ignore, their sympathy, we often throw stones or chase them away because we do not like to be chased by the city, since this winter I do not believe that pigeons are as bad as people think, but rather we are the ones who hate many things, especially street birds.  bye! ...

Is too early yet. But, in the case that I should a postgraduate now, I'll take one about sociocultural anthropology, because for me is interesting the problems of contemporany society y how affect the native culture or the identity of people that compose the territory. I would like to study in Chile or any country in South America, mainly focusing the latin american culture, and the important of their tradition and simbolism, respeting their custums. Neoliberalism has been in charge of the last centuries of overthrowing ancient traditions, imposing and establishing new social problems, especially in the exclusion of indigenous peoples in public policies and the oppression of their cultural development and the anthropologist must to do wor...

A Subject you've enjoyed Studying this Semester

Imagen
Hi classmates, today I'm going to talk about my favorite subject, and this is anthropology, one of the central the career. Well, the topics of this subject in this semestre aren't variable, they only treat about culture of human groups, simbolism, personality and language that incluided the culture, but is so interesting for me because allows me to understand the social behavior as of cultural relativism, whereas the social organization must studied from the persons who starred events, from the particularities of each of the culture. In classes we must read european and north american authors, I don't like this because their thoughts are too eurocentrist, universalists and their methodology don't aply in all the world, the people is more complicated of what their manuals say, and I don't believe that empirical sciences are panacea to the problems are society, in adittion, in general their thoughts (anglo-eurocentrists) is very colonizing in front of cultures that...
